        Mock Trial Club

Tina changed the description of the group Group logo of Mock Trial ClubMock Trial Club from “The Mock Trial Club is a dynamic and interactive online academic club for students aged 14–18 who are interested in law, public speaking, and courtroom procedure. Designed to simulate real-life courtroom trials, the club offers students the opportunity to role-play as attorneys, witnesses, jurors, and judges in a structured legal setting. It is ideal for students who enjoy debate, critical thinking, collaboration, and persuasive argumentation.
        What We Do:

Weekly workshops on trial structure, legal terminology, and courtroom etiquette

Hands-on mock trial simulations based on fictional and real-world cases

Training in objection handling, opening/closing statements, witness examination, and cross-examination

Team-based preparation for competitions and internal tournaments

Feedback sessions to develop public speaking, strategy, and legal reasoning skills

Guest sessions with practicing attorneys, law students, or judges who provide insights and mentorship

Optional participation in regional or virtual mock trial competitions

        Club Rules and Guidelines:

Eligibility: Open to students aged 14–18 with a strong interest in legal practice or public speaking.

Commitment: Members must attend a minimum of 3 sessions per month and participate in team assignments.

Preparation: Members are expected to study case files and prepare assigned roles before each mock trial.

Respect: All participants must respect the rules of decorum, team collaboration, and fair debate.

Integrity: Plagiarism or misrepresentation of arguments, evidence, or roles is not allowed.

Teamwork: Team coordination is essential; students must communicate and support their peers.

Ethical Conduct: Members should demonstrate professionalism, including during role-play and feedback.

Digital Etiquette: Punctuality, focus, and courtesy are required in all online sessions.

Feedback Engagement: Members should reflect on critiques and aim to improve performance each session.

Consequences: Repeated absences, uncooperative behavior, or violation of rules may lead to suspension or removal.

The Mock Trial Club provides a compelling introduction to the legal world and helps students develop confidence, analytical thinking, and real-world communication skills in a fun, challenging environment.” to “The Mock Trial Club is a dynamic and interactive online academic club for students aged 14–18 who are interested in law, public speaking, and courtroom procedure.
