Teacher Dr. Dana Lynne Varga is an accomplished classical soprano, voice teacher, and career coach for musicians. A sought-after performer, Dr. Varga has performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and sung with prestigious opera companies including Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, and Teatro Nuovo. She is the founder and CEO of The Empowered Musician and the Founder and Artistic Advisor of MassOpera. Dr. Varga’s clients consistently achieve remarkable success in their careers, including securing positions in top music programs at institutions like Juilliard, New England Conservatory and the Eastman School of Music.

Dr. Varga brings extensive experience from her impressive singing career, academic training, and leadership roles within the opera community. Holding a DMA from Boston University and a Masters degree from the New England Conservatory, she is an esteemed educator who has served on faculty at institutions such as the Longy School of Music, the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and the University of Massachusetts. As a clinician, lecturer, and competition judge, Dr. Varga possesses a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the highly competitive field of classical music. She has worked with musicians worldwide, including in China since 2020, helping clients unlock their full potential. She is uniquely skilled at helping applicants from Asian countries understand fully what American schools are really looking for in candidates.
