Mr. Zhao – Master of Liberal Art in Digital Media Design from Harvard Extension School (Dean’s List Academic Achievement Award), Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC). I have an outstanding undergraduate academic record and received the admission notice of Master of Engineering from UBC three months in advance of undergraduate graduation. Meanwhile, I was also admitted by the University of Toronto and other famous Candian universities for a Master of Engineering degree. During my master’s degree, I was supervised by Dr. David Wilkinson (the academician of many Canadian Chemical Institutes, Canadian Research Chair and founder of Ballard Compan) and mainly studied the application of lithium batteries and hydrogen batteries in electric vehicles. I finally graduated with an average score of 89.8% with an A on every single course.
To expand employment opportunities, I applied for and was admitted by Harvard Extension School for further study of computer science, programming and multimedia design. I graduated with an Accumulative GPA of 3.94 and got the Dean’s List Academic Achievement Award endorsed by the head of the department. I also worked in Shell Inc., the world’s largest oil company, as the manager assistant of the Quality Control Department as well as SGS, the world’s largest third-party quality inspection company, as a technician.
Since then, I have been engaged in teaching secondary school students and have more than 5 years of tutoring experience in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, statistics, economics, calculus, Java and Python programming. Many of my students have done extremely well in regular school courses, AP/IB exams and math/programming competitions so that they can enter top universities in Canada or the USA.
