The Translation Club is an exciting online community for students aged 12–18 who are passionate about languages, cultures, and the art of translation. Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics or an advanced student honing your translation skills, this club provides a platform to practice and refine your ability to translate texts from one language to another.
What We Do:
- Weekly translation challenges and exercises in various languages (e.g., English, Spanish, French, Chinese, etc.)
- Exploring translation theory, techniques, and challenges in literary, technical, and everyday contexts
- Group projects translating short stories, poems, or articles and discussing the nuances of different languages
- Guest speakers including professional translators, linguists, and language experts
- Collaboration on translating multilingual content for cultural projects or virtual events
- Peer reviews where members exchange translations and provide constructive feedback
- Fun cultural explorations, such as translating idioms, slang, and proverbs from different languages
Club Rules and Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to students aged 12–18 with a passion for languages and translation.
- Participation: Attend at least two sessions per month and engage actively in translation activities.
- Respect: Show respect for each language and culture discussed; no judgment on learning levels.
- Language Practice: Translate texts in the language(s) of your choice, while being open to trying new languages.

- Digital Etiquette: Be on time, mute when necessary, and maintain a focused atmosphere in meetings.

- Conduct: Disruptive behavior or disrespectful comments may result in a warning or removal from the club.
