Group Description
The Religious Studies Club is an inclusive, respectful, and intellectually enriching space for students aged 14–18 to explore world religions, spiritual traditions, and the role of belief systems in shaping societies and cultures. This online academic club invites students of all faiths and backgrounds to engage in thoughtful discussions, historical analysis, and comparative study of diverse religious worldviews.
What We Explore and Do:
- Weekly discussions on major world religions, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Indigenous belief systems
- Comparative studies on rituals, sacred texts, moral teachings, and philosophical ideas
- Exploration of religion’s influence on history, politics, literature, art, and social justice
- Guest talks from religious leaders, scholars, and interfaith advocates
- Cultural events, virtual site visits (temples, mosques, churches, etc.), and group presentations
- Critical thinking activities on topics like faith and reason, pluralism, ethics, and freedom of belief
