Group Description
The Public Speaking Club is an online community for students aged 12–18 who want to develop their speaking, presentation, and communication skills. Whether you’re preparing for a speech, debating, or simply want to gain more confidence in public speaking, this club provides a supportive environment to help you improve and refine your abilities.
What We Do:
- Weekly practice sessions where members can deliver short speeches, practice presentations, or participate in debates
- Workshops on key speaking techniques such as body language, voice modulation, storytelling, and speech organization
- Group activities that focus on impromptu speaking, persuasive communication, and public speaking under pressure
- Constructive feedback from peers and mentors to help you improve delivery, clarity, and confidence
- Guest speakers, including professional speakers and communication experts, who share tips on becoming an effective public speaker
- Participation in mock speech competitions and debates to gain real-world experience
- Exploration of different forms of public speaking, including motivational speaking, corporate presentations, and TED-style talks
Club Rules and Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to students aged 12–18 who are interested in improving their public speaking and communication skills.
- Participation: Attend at least two sessions per month and actively engage in speaking activities and discussions.
- Respect: Foster a respectful atmosphere where all members are encouraged to speak and be heard.
- Preparation: Prepare speeches or presentations ahead of time to practice and deliver them during meetings.
- Collaboration: Provide constructive feedback to peers and work together to improve speaking skills.
- Digital Etiquette: Be punctual, stay engaged, and respect others during virtual meetings.
- Creativity: Bring fresh, original ideas to your speeches and presentations.
- Kindness: Encourage and support other members in their public speaking journey.
- Conduct: Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will result in a warning and possible removal from the club.
