Group Description
The Pre-Med Club is an online community for students aged 12–18 who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine or the healthcare field. Whether you’re considering becoming a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or medical researcher, this club provides a supportive environment for you to learn about the medical field, gain valuable knowledge, and connect with like-minded peers.
What We Do:
- Weekly discussions on medical topics such as anatomy, diseases, medical ethics, and current healthcare trends
- Guest speakers including doctors, medical students, and healthcare professionals who share their experiences and career advice
- Study groups for pre-medical subjects like biology, chemistry, and physics to help strengthen your academic foundation
- Exploration of medical fields through virtual tours of hospitals, clinics, and medical research labs
- Medical case study reviews where members work together to analyze patient cases and recommend diagnoses or treatments
- Volunteer opportunities and information on shadowing professionals in healthcare settings
- Collaborative projects such as health awareness campaigns, health education resources, and organizing virtual health fairs
Club Rules and Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to students aged 12–18 with an interest in pursuing a medical or healthcare career.
- Participation: Attend at least two sessions per month and actively engage in discussions and activities.
- Respect: Respect the diversity of medical interests and avoid negative comments regarding different medical fields or experiences.
- Preparation: Complete assigned readings or review medical topics prior to meetings for informed discussions.
- Collaboration: Work together with peers on case studies, projects, and health-related activities.
- Digital Etiquette: Be punctual, stay engaged, and respect virtual meeting etiquette.
- Kindness: Encourage and support peers, especially when discussing sensitive or difficult topics.
- Conduct: Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will lead to a warning and possible removal from the club.
