Tina changed the description of the group
Language Buddies Club from “The Language Buddies Club is an inclusive online community designed for students aged 12–18 who are passionate about learning and practicing new languages. Whether you’re interested in building fluency in a language you’re studying or learning conversational skills in a new language, this club offers a supportive environment to pair up with a “language buddy” to practice, teach, and grow together.
What We Do:Pairing members with language buddies to practice conversational skills through weekly discussions
Organizing language exchange sessions where members speak in their target languages for practice
Providing structured activities to improve speaking, listening, and writing skills, such as roleplays, vocabulary games, and story-building exercises
Language-themed events like cultural trivia nights, holiday celebrations from different cultures, and language challenges
Virtual “language cafés” where members casually chat in their target languages while sipping coffee (or tea!)
Guest speakers including polyglots, language instructors, and cultural ambassadors
Group projects to create language resources, such as vocabulary flashcards or mini lessons
Club Rules and Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to students aged 12–18 with an interest in learning any language.
Participation: Attend at least two sessions per month and actively participate in discussions and exchanges.
Respect: Be respectful and supportive of language learners, no matter their level.
Language Use: Speak the target language as much as possible during club activities.
Pairing Up: Commit to supporting your language buddy in their learning process.
Preparation: Complete assigned activities, such as vocabulary or grammar practice, before sessions.
Collaboration: Encourage a positive and inclusive environment for everyone, especially beginners.
Digital Etiquette: Be punctual, maintain focus during meetings, and respect all virtual etiquette rules.
Creativity: Share language learning tips, cultural insights, or fun language facts with the group.
